After completing the 10th annual Disney’s Princess Half Marathon in February 2018, we treated ourselves to a night at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We chose to add on to the already luxe accommodation by selecting a room in the main building, of which all are considered Concierge level rooms. These unique rooms come with access to a vast array of snacks, treats, hors-d’oeuvres, and even nightly cordials to complement the Happily Ever After fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, which can be viewed right off the lounge’s private balcony.
We were arriving in after completing a few nights stay at the Grand Floridian’s neighbor, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, so it was a very short Monorail ride for us to get to the Check-in desk at the Grand Floridian, after checking out at the Polynesian Village. Disney’s Bell Services makes doing a “split stay” between different resorts seamless. On our check out day at the Polynesian, I called Bell services, who came right up and took care of transferring everything over to the Grand Floridian for us. Once we were checked in at the Grand Floridian, we were able to call Bell Services, who brought our luggage right up to our room. Instant Disney magic!
It took my crew no time at all to get cozy in our room! The rooms here are among the largest of the Walt Disney World Resort’s hotel rooms. At 440 sq. Feet, there’s a lot of room to spread out! Our room even had a wet bar, with a Keurig and a few K-Cup choices if we wanted to use it. With the fantastic Nespresso machine over in the Concierge Lounge though, we didn’t even use our Keurig once!

When you first walk into one of the Concierge rooms, you will be awe-stricken. Everything from the walls, floors and light fixtures have special touches. You will feel like Disney royalty as you start to notice all of the little details all around the room. And yes, there are Hidden Mickey’s to be found throughout! We were in room 4325, which is actually on the 3rd floor, across from the Concierge Staff desks. The Concierge Lounge was right upstairs from our room.

I thought that the light fixture as soon as you walked into the room was gorgeous! And look at all that trim and pretty wallpaper!

Now, let’s talk about the beds. The beds here are like butter! After finishing the Fairy Tale Challenge, having a bed like that to melt into was a real treat. The mattress! The pillows! The covers! Oh my! Everything about the beds was perfectly placed, from the tufted pearlescent headboards, ao the monogrammed throw pillows. There was a pulldown couch as well, to accommodate a fifth guest. After trying the beds out even for a second, we didn’t want to leave!

But, curiosity got the best of us because, We, of course, wanted to see the view from the balcony. And WOW! It did not disappoint!

We had a view of the Grand Floridian Villas, the DVC portion of the Resort, the Alice in Wonderland themed splash pad, the monorail, the main pool, the lagoon, and Disney’s Polynesian Village. The marshmallowy clouds made the already lovely view look like we were living inside of a painting. It was such a magical view. Here’s a picture of my Fairy Tale Challenge Medal, with the lovely scenery from our balcony as a backdrop!
The Bathroom was also very spacious. It is composed of two rooms: The sink room, and the toilet/shower room. So, you can leave the sink and vanity area open for use while someone takes a shower. This is a great layout for the larger groups and families of five that might be staying in the room.

To give you an idea of what other rooms on this floor look like, I’ve included a picture of the Evacuation Route of the 3rd floor.

That wraps up our room tour. It was beautiful, right?!
